Leading British sportsbook William Hill is set to continue as the official betting partner of the Scottish Premier League after the signing of a fresh three-year agreement.
A Good Match
The bookie, operator of one of the world's most successful land-based and online betting operations, already sponsored Scottish football's top flight last year, and will continue to do so this year with promotion of its brand and products across the Scotland.
William Hill group market director Kristof Fahy called the decision to re-sign "a no-brainer", given the thrilling finish to last season's Clydesdale Bank Premier League, which saw Rangers edge out hated Glasgow rival Celtic by one point for the trophy.
Scottish League Kicks Off
The new season kicked off at the weekend, with Rangers and Celtic obviously leading the odds betting for the title once again. Motherwell and Celtic got the season off to a fine start with victories, while all the other matches ended in draws.
SPL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster said he is looking forward to William Hill Sports promoting great deals to fans during the season, adding that the partnership demonstrates the huge level of interest in league throughout the UK.
