Usual suspects Chelsea and Manchester United head the William Hill odds for the new English Premier League season just launched, but Manchester City is the big mover, coming in not far behind at third in the pecking order.
Reigning premiers Chelsea are looking hard to beat, listed at 13/8 odds by the British bookmaker. United are 5/2, nervously looking over their shoulder at their local rivals City, who are 9/2.
Rounding out the realistic premiership contenders are: Arsenal, 6/1, Liverpool, 14/1, and Tottenham, 25/1. The other 14 teams are all at long odds.
William Hill sports features on its online sportsbook enhanced odds, namely the option to bet on Wayne Rooney to score a hat trick, in tonight's match between Manchester United and Newcastle.
Punter s can also bet on whether Rooney will be the first to score in the match (9/4 odds) or would it be Javier Hernandez (7/2), Paul Scholes (9/1) or another player.
Other special bets offers on will Hill include:
- Next club manager at Aston Villa
- The 2nd Premier league manager to leave
- And other, non-UK bets such as Real Madrid's chances to do the treble.
