Roulette
A casino classic, everyone loves a game of roulette, either playing themselves or simply watching the events unfold from the sidelines.
The word roulette is actually French for 'small wheel', an obvious feature in the game. The game was created in France in the 18th century and is thought to be an interesting fusion of English wheel games and Italian board games.
Game rules
In Roulette, you can place bets on:
- A certain colour
- A certain number
- A range of numbers - odd or even
Game play
The most exciting thing about roulette is that spectators can watch while you play. Basic game play is as follows:
- Players first place bets on where they think the ball will land
- The croupier then spins the wheel and a small metallic ball in the opposite direction
- The racing ball eventually slows down and falls into one of 38 different slots, which correspond to bets placed
