Roulette

The word roulette is actually French for 'small wheel', an obvious feature in the game. The game was created in France in the 18^th century and is thought to be an interesting fusion of English wheel games and Italian board games.

Game rules

In Roulette, you can place bets on:

• A certain colour
• A certain number
• A range of numbers - odd or even

Game play

The most exciting thing about roulette is that spectators can watch while you play. Basic game play is as follows:

1. Players first place bets on where they think the ball will land
2. The croupier then spins the wheel and a small metallic ball in the opposite direction
3. The racing ball eventually slows down and falls into one of 38 different slots, which correspond to bets placed
